Modelling the physics

MR fluid stiffens in a magnetic field, so a coil inside the damper changes its damping force with the current applied.

We modelled the damper’s fluid and magnetic circuit. We checked which design settings most affected damping force. A planned set of experiments helped us choose a configuration for the prototype.
