Generative Bracket

A generatively designed cantilever bracket that carries 11 kg while weighing only 9 g. It took first runner-up in an additive manufacturing competition hosted by the National Centre for Physics.

Generative design produces light, custom parts from mathematical models, for whichever manufacturing method and material you choose. We set the parameters in Fusion 360, simulated the results in ANSYS and iterated until we found the best solution.

The bracket carries 11 kg at just 9 g. It took first runner-up in the additive manufacturing competition hosted by the National Centre for Physics.
